OK update from PING! Thank you for your email and support of PING. The ALTA CB Slate and ALTA CB Black have the exact same playing characteristics, as the only difference is the graphics color of the shaft. The ALTA CB Slate was used in the G425 series, and the ALTA CB Black is used in the G430...
